I had fun painting this one. The concept was fun to start with. Then the unique challenges! (I never had an object so close to my canvas!) Then the most challenging aspect was the fact that I had to deal with a strong light on my canvas. Your colors always end up looking darker when you paint under a strong light. I had to take frequent breaks for my eyes and constantly make adjustments to make sure that I mix and put on the colors truthfully. You can see the set up and the work in progress in the photo shown below.

The barrel of monkey's painting is great. I love the "shadow monkeys" in the background racing their friends to see who can climb faster.
